Book a Hotel for the London 2012 Olympics

London 2012 Olympics: 20000 people who missed out on tickets in opening …

But the several hundred thousand applicants who missed out on the first round
and then snapped up less preferred events in the second ballot may feel
disappointed.

They won’t have any access to the new batch of ticket sales until a week after
the 20,000 and then the 1.2 million applicants have been able to snap up
tickets. By that stage it is likely the only tickets left will be the
remainder of the 1.5 million football tickets and 1.5 million Paralympic
tickets that are currently still available.

Locog chairman Sebastian Coe said it was important that the next batch of
tickets allows people who had missed at a chance to secure some Games seats.

It is unclear how many tickets people will able to purchase in the next sales
window, but limits are likely to be imposed that restrict the sales to just
two or four tickets. Applicants will be limited to buying just one session.
